Santorelli Named CHL Player of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Mark Santorelli of the Chilliwack Bruins is the CHL Player of the Week after scoring seven goals and two assists for nine points in three games.

Santorelli was the first star after scoring three goals in Chilliwack's 5-2 win over the Portland Winter Hawks on Friday. He scored two goals and an assist and was the first star again in a 6-2 win over the Kamloops Blazers on Saturday and finished the week with two goals and an assist and another first star award in a 3-1 win over the Kelowna Rockets on Sunday.

The 19-year-old from Burnaby, B.C. is the WHL's scoring leader with 16 goals and 38 assists for 54 points in 31 games this season. Santorelli was a fourth round pick of the Nashville Predators in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
