Chiefs' Bowman Named Husky WHL Player of the Month

Calgary, AB - The Western Hockey League today announced that forward Drayson Bowman, of the Spokane Chiefs, has been named the Husky WHL Player of the Month for November.

The 18 year old forward from Littleton, Colorado recorded 24 points in the month of November, netting 13 goals and 11 assists all while maintain a plus minus rating of +16. Bowman went on a ten game point streak through the month of November which saw the young star score 4 power play goals and an unprecedented 5 game winning goals.

Bowman's consistency helped Spokane post a 9-1-0-1 record through the month of November and an overall record of 21-4-1-2 on the season. The Chiefs currently sit in first place of the WHL Western Conference, U.S. Division and the entire WHL.

During the month of November Bowman was twice named the WHL and Canadian Hockey League Player of the Week. His efforts have earned him a Three Star selection in six of the Chiefs 11 games played, with four being 1st Stars.

This past June Bowman was selected in the 3rd round - 72nd overall by the Carolina Hurricanes at the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

His accomplishments make Drayson Bowman a deserving choice as the HUSKY WHL Player of the Month for November.
