Eighteen teams, including 17 NBA G League teams and the G League Ignite, will play in the single-site, with the top eight teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff. Players, coaches, team and league staff living on the NBA G League's campus will be guided by comprehensive leaguewide health and safety protocols, which are based on the core principles of social distancing, mask wearing, hand hygiene and COVID-19 testing. The complete game and broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.
"Our main priority has always been the health and safety of our players, staff members and community, and the G League's decision to minimize COVID-19 related health risks by centralizing in one location is a decision we support," said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy. "We are excited to virtually cheer on our team for the 2020-21 season and look forward to seeing our team and players continue to develop their skills."
