Santa Cruz Warriors News Release
SANTA CRUZ, CA - The Santa Cruz Warriors, the NBA G League affiliate of the Golden State Warriors, have announced the Showcase Cup and regular season schedule for the team's upcoming 2022-23 season, presented by Kaiser Permanente. The Warriors will be celebrating their tenth year in Santa Cruz throughout the season and will open the Showcase Cup with two home games on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 against the Ontario Clippers.
"We are excited to celebrate our tenth season in Santa Cruz during the 2022-23 season," said Santa Cruz Warriors President Chris Murphy. "The Santa Cruz community has been committed to the Warriors since the team arrived and we look forward to celebrating throughout the season, starting with Opening Weekend on November 4 and 5."
All NBA G League teams begin the 2022-23 season with the Showcase Cup which includes 16 games in team markets, followed by two Winter Showcase games in Las Vegas from December 19-22 to crown the Showcase Cup champion. Team records will reset for the 32-game regular season followed by the NBA G League playoffs.
The Warriors will play 11 back-to-backs throughout the season, with six being played at home. In March, seven out of the team's eleven games will be played at Kaiser Permanente Arena. The 2022-23 season will be the NBA G League debut of the Mexico City Capitanes who the Warriors will visit in Mexico City on January 20 and 22.
All home games will continue to feature a giveaway for at least the first 1,000 fans in attendance, continuing a tradition that dates back to the 2019-20 season.
The Santa Cruz Warriors, the 2020-21 and 2021-22 NBA G League Franchise of the Year, have a variety of ticket plans on sale now. Full-season memberships start at just $17/game and include exclusive benefits. Ticket plans are available by calling (831) 713-4400 or visiting santacruzbasketball.com.
