
Santa Cruz Warriors Acquire Guard Jeremy Pargo off Waivers

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors announced today that the team has acquired guard Jeremy Pargo from the NBA G League's in-season waiver wire. Pargo will wear #4 for Santa Cruz and will make his NBA G League debut tomorrow night in Ontario against the Agua Caliente Clippers (tip-off 7:00 p.m.).
"We're thrilled to add Jeremy Pargo to the Santa Cruz Warriors," said Santa Cruz Warriors General Manager Kent Lacob. "We believe his vast experience and leadership qualities will provide a spark for our team as we prepare for 11 remaining regular season games."
Pargo (6-2, 219) joins the Warriors most recently from Jiangsu Tong Xi of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), where he averaged 22.8 points, 6.1 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 32.1 minutes across 20 games in 2017-18. In the last three CBA seasons with Jiangsu, Shenzhen (2016-17) and Zhejiang Guangsha (2015-16), Pargo has averaged 24.0 points, 7.2 assists, 4.9 assists and 1.43 steals in 108 league games (78 starts).
A two-year NBA veteran, Pargo most recently played with the Philadelphia 76ers for 14 games and the Cleveland Cavaliers for 25 games (11 starts) in 2012-13, averaging 6.8 points, 2.4 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 16.8 minutes. A four-year starter at Gonzaga University from 2005-09, Pargo posted career averages of 9.3 points, 4.4 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 134 career games, earning the West Coast Conference Player of the Year Award in his 2007-08 junior season.
