
Sankey Joins Alouettes

Montreal, May 13, 2003 - Montreal Alouettes' General Manager Jim Popp announced today veteran quarterback Ben Sankey has signed a two-year deal with the Montreal Alouettes.
Sankey started eight of the 41 games he played in 2000, 2001 and 2002 with the Calgary Stampeders. Over that period, he completed 146 of his 238 passes for gains of 2000 yards and 17 touchdowns. In 2002, Sankey missed the beginning of the CFL season, as he was attending the NFL's Houston Texans training camp. "Sankey will bring experience to the back-up quarterback position," said Jim Popp. "We're extremely excited to count on Ben for the upcoming season."

The Alouettes' rookie camp begins May 22 and the official training camp opening is May 25 on the Fort Saint-Jean Campus in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. All fans are invited for the official opening.
