
Sanchez, Hall, Tilson lead Pigs to Win

Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Moosic, PA) - PNC Field was no "House of Horrors" on Tuesday evening as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (38-44) won 8-1 over the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (49-31). The Pigs are now 8-11 against the RailRiders this season.
Darick Hall continued his hot hitting for Lehigh Valley in the top of the first inning. He hit an RBI single against Deivi Garcia (2-5) to score Charlie Tilson and give the Pigs a 1-0 lead. Tilson extended Lehigh Valley's lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning as he hit a two-run home run against Garcia. It was Tilson's first home run of the season.
The Pigs added two more runs in the top of the fifth inning against the RailRiders. Jorge Bonifacio scored on a wild pitch by Reggie McClain and T.J. Rivera hit a sacrifice fly to score Matt Vierling. Garcia allowed five runs through 4 1/3 innings for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Cristopher Sanchez (3-4) turned in his best start of the season with the Pigs as he struck out seven batters over five scoreless innings. He gave up just two hits and issued two walks. Austin Ross struck out four batters in two innings during his AAA debut. Cam Bedrosian turned in a scoreless inning of relief after Ross.
Hall struck again in the top of the ninth inning when he hit a two-run single against Ron Marinaccio to give Lehigh Valley a 7-0 lead. Tyler Heineman followed with an RBI single to extend the Pigs' lead to 8-0. The RailRiders lone run of the game came in the bottom of the ninth inning when Donny Sands homered against Braeden Ogle.
Lehigh Valley and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre meet against on Wednesday evening at PNC Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
