San Diego Re-Signs Javian Williams for 2024

San Diego Strike Force News Release


The San Diego Strike Force have re-signed defensive lineman Javian Williams to their 2024 Indoor Football League roster.

Williams (6-2, 320, Little Rock, AR) joins the Strike Force for his fourth season as a member of the IFL. He started his indoor career with the Duke City Gladiators in 2021, playing alongside now current San Diego quarterback Nate Davis and receiver Dello Davis. In 10 games that season, Javian saw action in 10 games while recording 21.5 total tackles (3.5 tackles for loss), two sacks, and two quarterback hurries.

During his 2022 and 2023 seasons, as a member of the Strike Force, Williams played in 24 games and chalked up 27 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, two blocked kicks, and one safety.

"Javian is a run-stopper with great athleticism," said head coach Taylor Genuser. "Outside the trenches, he's the type of personality that every locker room needs. We're looking forward to seeing him back in San Diego in 2024."

Williams played his final two seasons of collegiate football in 2016-2017 at the University of Central Arkansas where appeared in 21 games and recorded 38 total tackles (nine solo), one fumble recovery, and a blocked field goal. Prior to UCA, he was at Coffeyville Community College (Kansas). He played his prep career at North Little Rock High School in Arkansas.

The Strike Force will open the 2024 season on the road against the Duke Gladiators before hosting the San Antonio Gunslingers for their home opener at Pechanga Arena on Monday, April 1st.
