THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Feb. 22 at Peoria Rivermen

Carver Arena, 7:05 p.m.

The Rampage kick off their second-straight three-in-three weekend on Friday night in Peoria for the final meeting between the two teams this season. Last weekend, the Rampage earned a 4-3 shootout win over the Rivermen to improve to 3-0-0-0 against Peoria this season. In the game, goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris made a career-high 49 saves and Zach Hamill scored twice and recorded a goal in the shootout.

Saturday, Feb. 23 at Grand Rapids Griffins

Van Andel Arena, 6:00 p.m.

San Antonio will make their lone trip of the season to Grand Rapids for a two-game set against the Griffins. In the lone previous meeting between the two clubs earlier this season on Nov. 2, the Rampage battled back from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-2 victory. Jon Rheault tallied two goals and Eric Selleck recorded the game-winner late in the third period.

Sunday, Feb. 24 at Grand Rapids Griffins

Van Andel Arena, 3:00 p.m.

Grand Rapids currently sits in first place in the Midwest Conference and in second place overall in the Western Conference. Both the Rampage and Griffins are winners of five of their seven games. The Griffins have capitalized on fast starts this season, as they have outscored opponents 50-33 in the first period.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT

ROAD TRIPPING: The Rampage took five of six points last weekend to improve to 4-1-1-0 in the first six games of the Rodeo Road Trip. The strong showing on the weekend also pulled the club back to .500 for the first time since Nov. 4. San Antonio will kick off their second-straight three-in-three weekend on Friday with a tilt against Peoria.

EXTRA HOCKEY: All three of San Antonio's games on the weekend went to overtime, as the Rampage fell in the extra session on Friday and claimed shootout wins on Saturday and Sunday. The shootout victories were the Rampage's first of the year (2-0-0-4).

OFFENSIVE OUTBURST: The Rampage recorded a combined 13 goals in their three games over the weekend, the most goals the team has scored in a three game stretch since Nov. 25-30.

POWER PLAY: San Antonio tallied a power-play goal in all three games on the weekend, marking the first time all season the team has capitalized with the man advantage in three straight games. The Rampage finished the weekend 4-for-10 on the power play.

CAREER NIGHT: Rampage goaltender Dov Grumet-Morris made a career-high 49 saves in Saturday's 4-3 win over Peoria to improve to 6-0-0 against the Rivermen in his career.

WARM WELCOME: San Antonio acquired defenseman Zach Miskovic from Chicago on Thursday and the defenseman tallied an assist in his first two games for the Rampage.

GREAT PLAINS: The Rampage will once again play three games against Midwest division foes this weekend. San Antonio owns a 7-2-1-1 record in 11 games against the Midwest Division this season, their best splits against any division in the Western Conference.

ICE CHIPS: Zach Hamill - Center

Center Zach Hamill is averaging a point-per game in his first seven contests for the Rampage since being traded to San Antonio on Jan. 31. Hamill leads the Rampage with seven points (three goals, four as- sists) through San Antonio's first six games on the Rodeo Road Trip. Hamill recorded his first multi-goal game on Saturday, as he recorded two goals against Peoria to help the Rampage to a 4-3 shootout win. The 5-foot-11, 180- pound forward also went 2-for-2 in shootout attempts on the weekend. Hamill, a first-round pick (8th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins, also leads the Rampage in plus-minus rating (+9).
