San Antonio FC to Host Top Costa Rican Side Deportivo Saprissa on July 13

SAN ANTONIO - San Antonio FC will host Deportivo Saprissa of Costa Rica's first-division Liga Promerica in a July 13 friendly, the club announced today.
"We're excited to welcome another iconic international side to Toyota Field," said Director of Toyota Field and STAR Soccer Complex Jose Lizardo. "The match presents an opportunity for our fans to see our team go head-to-head against one of the most decorated clubs in all of North America."
Saprissa is fresh off its 2024 Clausura championship, winning the league after going 14-2-6 in Promerica play. Since its formation in 1935, Saprissa has been the most successful club in Costa Rica, winning the first-division championship a record-total 40 times. Internationally, "La S" features regularly in the CONCACAF Champions' Cup, winning the tournament on three occasions and placing second in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2005.
SAFC season ticket members will receive further communication on how to access/manage their tickets, along with an exclusive pre-sale to purchase additional tickets for the match beginning Thursday, June 13 at 10 a.m. CT. Fans subscribed to the SAFC Fan Club and app members will have access to an exclusive presale opportunity beginning at 2 p.m. CT on Thursday.
Tickets for the match go on sale to the general public Friday, June 14 at 10 a.m. CT at SanAntonioFC.com.
