
San Antonio Assigns Smith to Wheeling

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced today that they have received forward Darryl Smith from the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.
Smith, the St. Catharines, Ontario native, joins the Nailers after a successful 2009-10 season in Laredo (CHL) and Manitobia (AHL). While in Laredo, Smith played in 61 games and produced 71 points (35G,36A) with 66 penalty minutes.
The Wheeling Nailers will open their 19th season of professional hockey in the Ohio Valley on Friday October 15th against the Toledo Walleye. Ticket packages for the 2010-2011 season are on sale now.
