Lincoln Saltdogs News Release

LINCOLN -- The Capital City's very own Blue Blood Brewing Company is proud to announce the re-grand opening of their new tasting room and state-of-the-art four-vessel brewhouse on Friday.

Beer aficionados will have the opportunity to sample Blue Blood's new "6-4-3 Double Play Pilsner," a craft beer inspired by the Lincoln Saltdogs.

"We are very happy to have our logo on Blue Blood's 6-4-3," Saltdogs Director of Ticketing Toby Antonson said. "It is a wonderful ballpark beer that makes for very easy drinking."

The re-grand opening ceremony begins Friday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m. and runs until 8, with free pizza from Sam and Louie's and beer samples from 4-5. Blue Blood is releasing their growlers Friday night as well.

Blue Blood will be introducing to the public its newly acquired four-vessel brewhouse from American Beer Equipment, the brewing equipment wing of Norland International.

"We are proud to be the first brewery to purchase a brewhouse from American Beer Equipment," Blue Blood President Brian Podwinski said. "This proves Lincoln is not just a great place to get the best beer around but top-of-the-line equipment as well."

Going forward, Blue Blood's tasting room will be open Thursday and Friday evenings from 4-8 and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m, located at 500 West South St., Suite 8.

Blue Blood's "Classic Series" Brews:

- Ethan's Stout: 5% ABV with all of the roasted barley flavor you expect balanced with caramel sweetness

- Happy As Ale: A refreshing American Pale Ale with 4.6% ABV and a great citrus flavored finish from the late hop additions.

- Pod's ESB: A well-balanced beer between sweetness from the malt and bitterness from the hops with 5.6% ABV.

- Wicked Snout: Our Farmhouse Ale is named after a good ol' Nebraska farm boy. With 6.4% ABV this beer will sneak up on you if you are not careful, just like those pigs on the farm.

- Big Log Wheat: This is our take on a weizen style of wheat with great spice notes of clove coming through making this a great change to your everyday American wheat.
