SALT LAKE CITY (Aug. 18) - Omaha scored runs in the first inning for the third consecutive day and never fell behind, beating Salt Lake 7-3 Tuesday night at Smith's Ballpark. Whit Merrifield and Reymond Fuentes reached with singles to begin the game coming around to score on a one-out single from Casey Kotchman to make it 2-0 after a half inning of play. Grant Green doubled to begin the Bees' first and came around to score on a groundout fielder's choice to make it 2-1, but that's as close as Salt Lake would get in the final game of the series as the Storm Chasers added two runs in the third, one in the fourth and one in the sixth and seventh.
