Salt Lake Bees to Welcome 8,000,000th Fan

SALT LAKE CITY (June 2, 2009) - The Salt Lake Bees are set to welcome the franchise's eight millionth fan to Spring Mobile Ballpark this week during the team's four-game home series against the Sacramento River Cats.

Salt Lake has entertained an average of 7,582 fans per game each season since 1994 and welcomed 500,780 fans to the ballpark in 2008, the most since 2000. Since Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment took over ownership of the team in 2005, the club has also increased overall attendance each season by an average of over 21,000 fans.

The Bees are currently 8,853 fans shy of reaching the record mark. Welcomed at the gate by Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment President Randy Rigby, Bees General Manager Marc Amicone and team mascot Bumble, the eight millionth fan will receive a pair of Bees season tickets, a 2009 team autographed baseball and recognition during the game. The fan will also throw out the first pitch prior to the following home game.
