Salmon Kings Get Gajic Back

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that forward Milan Gajic has returned to the team.

Gajic spent the first part of this season in Denmark playing for the Nordsjaelland Cobras. In 30 games he collected 25 points (9g-16a), three game winning goals and 16 minutes in penalties for the Cobras.

This will mark the third season the Burnaby, BC native has played with Victoria. Last season he compiled 15 goals and 25 assists for 40 points while earning 14 minutes in penalties in just 35 games. In 2006-07 he participated in 63 games for the Salmon Kings recording 24 goals and 41 assists. The 6-0, 182lb Gajic has also spent time in the AHL with Manitoba, Houston and Providence over the last three seasons. In 50 career AHL games he has netted nine goals and 11 assists for 20 points.

The 27-year-old sits third on the Salmon Kings all-time scoring list with 105 points (39g-66a) in 98 games. For his North American professional career he has participated in 189 games notching 73 goals and 110 assists for 183 points.

Gajic spent four years at the University of Michigan before turning professional. In 158 games he scored 53 goals and 62 assists for 115 points. Prior to Michigan he spent two years in the BCHL with the Burnaby Bulldogs.

The Salmon Kings welcome the Las Vegas Wranglers to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre on Wednesday night for the first game of a four-game set versus the Nevada based squad.
