Salmon Kings' Gendur Reassigned to Victoria

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today forward Dan Gendur has been reassigned to Victoria by the Manitoba Moose.

The Victoria, BC native was called up to Manitoba on Friday. Gendur played in two games for the Moose this weekend collecting a goal and two minutes in penalties.

In 20 games with Victoria this season, the rookie has collected 20 points (5g-15a) and 29 minutes in penalties. He is tied for second in the league in power play assists (11) and is tied for ninth in rookie scoring.

Gendur began this season and his professional career with the Moose participating in four games after signing a 3-year entry level contract with the Vancouver Canucks on October 1st.

Prior to turning professional the 21-year-old played in the WHL for the previous four seasons with both the Everett Silvertips and the Prince George Cougars. Last season in 60 games he compiled 84 points (29g-55a) with Everett.

The 5-11, 190lb right winger was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks with their seventh round choice, 206th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
