Victoria Salmon Kings News Release

Victoria, BC -The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announce a special promotion for today due to the inclement weather.

"It's a Snow Deal Not a Snow Day" promotion was born due to the weather outside being frightful. The Salmon Kings are offering deals and alternatives for today's game that are delightful to help beat the winter blues.

With traveling and parking conditions being less than ideal the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre will open 30 minutes earlier than normal for today's game versus Phoenix. This will allow fans to not have to rush to the game or have to stand outside and wait for the doors to open. This means patrons can get into the building at 3:30 p.m. to help ease the burden of traveling in this weather.

For those fans that would still like to come out and buy a ticket for today's game the Salmon Kings' are offering a $10 all in ticket. Alternatively, for those fans that would prefer not to travel in this weather the Salmon Kings will honour any tickets previously bought for today's game on Wednesday night when Victoria welcomes the Alaska Aces for a 7:05 p.m. tilt.

The third annual Teddy Bear Toss will still go today as planned, but the Salmon Kings have now added a second Teddy Bear Toss to the schedule for those fans who were planning to come down today in support of this cause but are now unable to make it. Next Saturday night will see the Third Annual Teddy Bear Toss Part B take place to help support local children's charities.

The Salmon Kings and Phoenix RoadRunners meet this evening at 5:05 p.m. Victoria then welcomes the Alaska Aces for a three-game set beginning on Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. The second and third games of the set go on Friday and Saturday nights with both games beginning at 7:05 p.m. Call 250-220-7777 for tickets.
