The RoadRunners grabbed one back when Peterson found a streaking Kimbi Daniels with a pass on the back door and Daniels tipped it past Victoria goalie Julien Ellis at 14:38 to cut the deficit to 4-2. But Matt Kelly tallied the Salmon Kings' fifth goal of the night scoring at 17:57 to make it 5-2 after two periods.
