Salmon Kings' Ellington Rejoins Moose

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that defenseman Taylor Ellington has been re-assigned to the Moose by Vancouver of the National Hockey League (NHL).

The Victoria, BC native will join the Moose for the second time this week. In two games this past week in Manitoba he registered one goal and two minutes in penalties. In 15 total games with the Moose this year Ellington has recorded three points (1g-2a) and nine penalty minutes.

The 21-year-old defender has participated in 48 games with the Salmon Kings this season tallying 14 points (3g-11a) while serving 49 minutes in penalties. Ellington was also selected as one of two Victoria representatives at this year's 2010 ECHL All-Star Game in Ontario, CA.

For his professional career, Ellington has played in 64 games, registering five goals and 13 assists for 18 points, to go along with 58 penalty minutes.

Ellington is second-round draft pick (33rd overall) of the Canucks in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Salmon Kings' roster now sits at 23 players (14 forwards, 7 defenseman, and 2 goaltenders).

Victoria continues their three-game set against Utah on Friday, and Saturday night. Puck drop for both games is at 7:05 p.m. at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. This Saturday's contest is Fan Appreciation night where one lucky fan is guaranteed to win a 2009 Cadillac SRX courtesy of Dave Wheaton Chevrolet Buick Cadillac GMC and the Times Colonist. Thus Saturday is also "Sellout Saturday". Nearly sold out, limited Club Seats and singles in the bowl are still available.
