
Salem-Keizer rallies for 7-4 victory

KEIZER, Ore. - Joan Gregorio the final 15 batters he faced to pick up his first win of the season, as Salem-Keizer rallied for a 7-4 victory over the Boise Hawks, before 3,250 fans at Volcanoes Stadium.
After surrendering a long home run to Rock Shoulders in the second to give Boise a 2-0 lead, the right-hander did not allow another base runner, striking out seven men for the victory.
The Volcanoes got the lead for good in the fifth, thanks to an RBI triple by Michael Mergenthaler and a Sam Eberle sacrifice fly, then put the game away with a three-run seventh inning.
Rafael Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with an RBI in the win for S-K, with Brennan Metzger, Andrew Cain, Matt Duffy, and Mergenthaler added two hits. Keith Bilodeau retired the final five men for his first save.
James Pugliese went five innings, allowing three runs on six hits to take the loss for the Hawks. Boise had just four hits in the game - including the home run by Shoulders and a solo shot by Willson Contreras.
Game 3 of the series is tomorrow night, with Tayler Scott meeting Raymundo Montero at 6:05 p.m. (MT).
