The 20th is also DARE Night and Claude the Trumpeteer will be performing at the coliseum.

Week In Review – The Saints went 2-1-1 this week with wins over Laredo and Corpus Christi, a shoot-out loss to Laredo and a loss to Lubbock.

December 10th / Lubbock 7 - San Angelo 5 / The Cotton Kings jumped out to an early 2-0 lead only to see the Saints tie the game 2-2 by the end of the 1st period on two goals by Trevor Weisgerber in his first game as a Saint. The Kings then jumped up 5-2 before two goals in 20 seconds by the Saints cut the lead to 5-4 heading into the 3rd period. With the Saints on the power-play and a chance to tie the game – Jan Melichercik took advantage of a giveaway by the Saints to score short-handed and put the game out of the Saints’ reach.

December 13th / San Angelo 4 - Laredo 3 (SO) / Once in each period the Saints would go up by a goal only to have the Bucks battle back and tie the game. After a scoreless overtime period 4 of 5 Saints shooters scored in the shootout and goaltender Scott Reid stopped 2 of 4 shots for the win. Jan Jas potted the game winner for the Saints who also got goals from Brad Cook, Kelly Miller and Trevor Weisgerber in regulation.

December 14th / Corpus Christi 0 - San Angelo 7 / In their most dominating performance of the season the Saints allowed only 17 shots on goal as Scott Reid recorded the first shutout in the Saints’ brief history. Goals by Chris Peach (2), Troy Mann, Kelly Miller, Kori Davison, Ryan Reid and Trevor Weisgerber led the Saints to the win. The Saints also collected hundreds of stuffed toys in their annual “Teddy Toss” for Toys for Tots.

December 15th / Laredo 5 - San Angelo 4 (SO) / With the Saints trying for a weekend sweep of games they took a 2-0 lead into the 2nd period on two goals by Chris Peach. The Bucks would score the only 2nd period goal and then came out buzzing in the 3rd and took a 4-3 lead into the final minute before Trevor Weisgerber scored the tying goal with just 42 seconds remaining after the Saints pulled goalie Scott Reid. After a scoreless overtime – each team scored just once in their first 5 shootout attempts. Morten Ask scored in the Bucks’ first sudden death shot and Troy Mann shot wide of the net for the Saints to give the Bucks the win.

Injury Report – The Saints are still fighting the injury bug as Jamie Thompson, Jarett Metz and Jeff Cheeseman remain on injured reserve. But, with new additions and the return of Jason Abel and Ryan Reid, the Saints were able to put their healthiest line-up on the ice in 20-games.
