In 21 games he hit one homer and had four RBI, hitting his only Major League homer off Russ Ortiz of the Arizona Diamondbacks on May 18.

After 2005 the New York Mets claimed him off of waivers and he spent 14 games with Triple-A New Orleans to begin the 2006 season. After his release he signed as a free agent with the New York Yankees and played nine games at Double-A Trenton.
