
Saints Finalize Roster, Sign Hamline University Catcher Radmacher

ST. PAUL, MN (May 15, 2013) - With eight local products already on the roster the St. Paul Saints went about as close to Midway Stadium as they can get to sign another player. One day before opening day the Saints signed Hamline University catcher Mark Radmacher.
The 23-year-old Radmacher had an impressive senior season with the Pipers hitting .392, second best on the team, with a team leading five homers and 44 RBI. In 36 games he scored 28 runs, ripped 15 doubled, had four triples, a .464 on base percentage and a .708 slugging percentage. He threw out an incredible 12 of 20 runners that tried to steal. He was named to the 2013 All-MIAC team.
In 2012 Radmacher hit .244 with four homers and 29 RBI. In 38 games he scored 22 runs, roped eight doubles, three triples and had a .455 slugging percentage.
The Saints 2013 roster is set for opening day. The Saints currently have 23 players on their roster, 11 pitchers and 12 position players with two players on the inactive list. The Saints can carry 23 players during the first 10 days of the season and must be down to 22 players after that. The Saints 2013 season begins on Thursday, May 16 with a 7:05 p.m. home game against the New Jersey Jackals.
