Sacramento Mountain Lions Announce 10-Man Reserve Unsigned List

Sacramento, CA - Tuesday, April 26, 2011 - The Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League have released a 10-man Reserve Unsigned list claiming the UFL rights to free agent players for the 2011 season.

These players join 40 Protected Players who saw action for the Mountain Lions in 2010 and were announced on April 6. The forthcoming 2011 UFL Draft and subsequent free agency period will allow all UFL teams to increase their rosters to the 70-man limit ahead of 2011 UFL training camps.

The Mountain Lions 10-Man Reserve Unsigned list features five players with NFL experience and the new face of the KEN DOLL.

Among the group are former NFL players WILL POOLE (cornerback), KEITH HEINRICH (tight end), KEARY COLBERT (wide receiver), TAVITA THOMPSON (offensive tackle) and DELJUAN ROBINSON (defensive tackle).

The list also includes Iowa State alum KURTIS TAYLOR (fullback), whose face is the new likeness of Ken, BARBIE's longtime boyfriend (Mattel toys). Taylor tried out for the Mountain Lions in 2010 but was cut in training camp.

"Our staff is excited about the additional players that we added to our reserve list," said Mountain Lions head coach DENNIS GREEN. "Five of the players have an NFL background. Both wide receiver KEARY COLBERT and tight end KEITH HEINRICH have solid backgrounds with several NFL teams. They will bring their experience to our receiver corps and continue our upward climb to be an explosive group.

"When we add this new group of ten different position players to our original 40 protected list, we think we have a group that will bring plenty of excitement to our Mountain Lion fans."

Colbert played in the NFL from 2004-09, spending time with the Panthers, Broncos, Seahawks and Lions. He caught 121 passes for 1,540 yards and eight touchdowns in 68 regular season games. Heinrich played in the NFL from 2002-07, beginning with the Panthers before joining the Browns and then suiting up for the Buccaneers. Both players played with the Florida Tuskers of the UFL in 2009 and helped the Tuskers go undefeated that season.

Robinson played in a total of 27 regular season games for the Houston Texans over the last two years, totaling 31 tackles. Poole played in 15 regular-season games for the Miami Dolphins in 2004 and he also appeared in pre-season games for Miami in 2007 and 2008. Thompson played part of the season with the Mountain Lions in 2010 and played in the pre-season with the New York Jets in 2009.

Among the players on the 10-man list for the UFL's Virginia franchise are running back WILLIE PARKER, quarterback PAT WHITE and receivers REGGIE BROWN and HANK BASKETT. Hartford's list includes former University of Hawaii quarterback COLT BRENNAN while running back J.J. ARRINGTON is on the Las Vegas list.
