
Sabrina Ionescu Named Eastern Conference Player of the Week

NEW YORK - The WNBA announced today that New York Liberty All-Star guard Sabrina Ionescu has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, June 27 to Thursday, July 7.
Ionescu powered New York to a record-breaking 116-107 win over Las Vegas on July 6 where she recorded the first-ever 30-point triple-double in WNBA history and the third of her career, finishing with 31 points on 76.9% (10-13) shooting from the field, including 87.5% (7-8) from three, 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and zero turnovers.
In the four games played on the week, Sabrina averaged 21.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and seven assists per game while shooting 39.5% (15-38) from deep.
After being named the Kia WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June, this weekly honor is Ionescu's second of the season, third of her career, and the 46th Player of the Week award in Liberty franchise history.
