
Sabourin named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week

WHEELING, WV â Wheeling Nailers goaltender, Dany Sabourin has been named Reebok Hockey ECHL Saver of the Week for the week of October 25-October 31.
Sabourin started two games last week for the Nailers and won both of them in a shootout. On Saturday, October 30 the Nailers played their home opening game against the Toledo Storm. Sabourin made 32 saves on 33 shots in regulation and overtime in the 2-1 win. In the shootout, Sabourin made eight saves on nine shots. Toledo scored on their first shot in the shootout before Sabourin made eight consecutive saves.
On Sunday, October 31 the Nailers hosted the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and again won 2-1 in a shootout. Sabourin made 33 saves on 33 shots in regulation and overtime. The only Atlantic City goal was scored when the Nailers inadvertently put the puck in their own net while Sabourin was pulled for an extra attacker on a delayed penalty call against the Boardwalk Bullies. For the second straight game Sabourin got his team to the shootout and made a save on all five Atlantic City shooters.
For the week Sabourin was 2-0-0 with a 0.46 goals against average and made 65 saves on 66 shots for a .985 save percentage.
The Nailers are home against the Reading Royals on Saturday, November 6 at 7:30pm and Sunday, November 7 at 5:05pm. Saturday will feature a Memorabilia Show at WesBanco Arena and a Royal Smash. Fans will be able to take swings at a Reading Royal Purple car with a sledge hammer before the game. Sunday will be Guns N' Hoses Night with all Police and Fire personnel gaining admission for five dollars. It will also be 2004 Flood Workers Appreciation Night as the Nailers recognize everyone that played a part in helping the community during the flood in September.

Wheeling, WV - The Wheeling Nailers announced today that fans and media will now have the ability to access the internet inside WesBanco Arena via high speed wireless access during all Nailers home games.
Fans and media will now be able to access game information, out of town scores, chat in the team chat room, e-mail the broadcaster, listen to live streaming audio or even watch live video from their seats.
To access the internet fans and media will need a laptop or PDA with an WIFI compatible wireless card running DHCP. For more information on how to connect to the Nailers Wireless network contact the Nailers office at 304-234-GOAL or 1-877-NAIL-TIX.
