
Ryan Patterson has two hits, RBI for Fisher Cats

Harrisburg, PA- Ryan Patterson went 2-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and Ryan Klosterman drove in his first run of the season, but the Fisher Cats fell for the third straight night in Harrisburg, losing to the Southern Division-leading Senators, 10-2 Saturday.
Harrisburg (11-5) pounded out a season-high 19 hits en route to the victory. Bobby Brownlie (2-0) worked the first six innings, allowing five hits and one unearned run, walking one and striking out one to earn the win.
Down 3-0 in the top of the fourth inning, Erik Nielsen reached on an error, went to third on a double by Anthony Hatch and scored on Patterson's sacrifice fly to make it 3-1.
The Senators knocked New Hampshire starter A. J. Wideman (0-2) out with six runs on seven hits in the fifth inning. Justin Maxwell (2-for-5, 2 doubles, 2 RBI) doubled home Roger Bernardina (4-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 R) to make it 4-1. Jorge Padilla (2-for-3) singled home Maxwell before Luke Montz (3-for-5, HR, 3 RBI) homered to make it 7-1.
Jamie Vermilyea, making his first appearance of the season, worked 3.1 innings, allowing three hits and one run, walking none and striking out two. Vermilyea was added to the roster from Extended Spring Training Friday. Sean Stidfole pitched a scoreless eighth inning for the Fisher Cats.
New Hampshire (3-12) added a run in the ninth inning off Harrisburg reliever Beltran Perez. Patterson led off with a double, went to third on a groundout by Brian Jeroloman and scored on a groundout by Ryan Klosterman.
The Fisher Cats play for the final time this season in Harrisburg Sunday. Right-hander Scott Richmond (1-2, 4.32) will start as New Hampshire tries to avoid a sweep. Harrisburg will counter with right-hander Shairon Martis (1-0, 4.40). Radio coverage begins at 12:45pm on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network with Bob Lipman.
New Hampshire returns to Merchantsauto.com Stadium to play Bowie, next Thursday, April 24 at 6:35pm. That game will be Indian Head Athletics Scholar Athlete Night.
