Harrisburg Senators News Release

Yurendell de Caster, one of the early offensive stars for the Senators, was promoted today from Harrisburg to Triple-A Columbus. He is replaced on the roster by INF Ofilio Castro, who joins the club from Potomac.

Castro, 24, hit .254 in 57 games with the Senators last season, splitting time between second base and third base. He hit .236 in 13 games this season as a third baseman with Potomac. This is his eighth year of professional baseball, all in the Expos/Nationals organization. He signed with the Expos as a non-drafted free agent on November 20, 2000.

The roster moves were set off after INF Bret Boone went on the Temporary Inactive List for Columbus. Boone is attempting to make it back to the major leagues for the first time since 2005. He retired during Spring Training of 2006 but signed a minor-league contract with the Nationals in February.
