CLEARWATER, Fla. - Ryan Demmin was named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week on June 16, the league announced. The award was for the period of June 9-15.
Demmin earned the Win in his June 9 start against the Dayton Cubs. Over 7.0 innings pitched, he did not allow a run while giving up four hits on no walks with seven strikeouts. He is in his fifth year of professional baseball and resides in Oshkosh, Wis.
Outfielder Pete Lavin won the FSL Player of the Week Award in May.
