Ryan Culkin Joins Heat

Abbotsford, BC - The Calgary Flames announced today that they have assigned defenceman Ryan Culkin to the Abbotsford Heat of the American Hockey League.

Culkin, a native of Montreal, Quebec, played in 65 games total with the Quebec Remparts and Drummondville Voltigeurs (QMJHL) this season, and registered a career high of 50 points (8-42-50) and 44 penalty minutes. Culkin is a fifth round pick (124th overall) of the Calgary Flames in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

The Heat wrap up their regular season schedule with a three game road trip that kicks off on Thursday, April 17th at 5:00 PM PST against the San Antonio Rampage (AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers).
