New Blood: The Tulsa Oilers host the expansion Rapid City Rush this week, in the Rush's first ever visit to Tulsa. The two teams play Friday and Saturday with each game beginning at 7:35 p.m.

Hats On: The first 750 fans at Friday's game will receive a free hat courtesy of Bud Light.

Ol' Time: The Oilers will wear special retro jerseys for Saturday's game. Fans can then bid on the throwback jerseys by visiting www.gameworn.com .

Piling Up: For the first time this season, the Oilers have earned points in three straight games. The Oilers had back to back shootout losses last week, losing 5-4 to Wichita and 4-3 to Bossier-Shreveport. The Oilers beat Wichita Saturday 6-0.

Blanking Out: Goaltender Davis Parley stopped all 25 shots he faced on Saturday, giving the Oilers their first shutout in 98 games, dating back to a 4-0 win over the Odessa Jackalopes on November 27, 2007.

New Faces: Last week marked the Central Hockey League's trade deadline, and the Oilers had four players play their first games this season for Tulsa. The Oilers acquired defenseman Matt Smyth from Corpus Christi in exchange for Jereme Tendler. In a three way deal, Tulsa got center Jason Weitzel from Amarillo and traded Martin Gascon to Mississippi.

Big Week: Jeff Christian continued to lead the Oilers in scoring racking up three goals and five assists. He figured in five of the Oilers six goals on Saturday with two goals and three assists.

Nice Start: Weitzel also had a good start with the Oilers. He scored a goal in each of the two games he played last week and also had three assists against Wichita. He has two goals and three assists in two games with the Oilers.
