Edinburg Roadrunners News Release
The bottom half of the Edinburg lineup was potent in the Roadrunners' 5-2 victory over Shreveport. The five through nine batters were a combined 6-for-19 with all five of Edinburg's RBIs, as well as two doubles and a homer. That was good enough, as Eric Montonya pitched seven quality innings, giving up only two earned runs on seven hits.
Joe Goodmann and Steven Wilkerson held the Sports scoreless the rest of the way to seal the deal. Nissan Zieour hit his first homer of the season for Edinburg, leading off the second with a deep shot to left field. Shaun Argento was 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs, as was Ryan Lehr. Ryan Webb finished 3-for-4 with a double.
