Ruby Record Second Shutout in Three Games in 4-0

MACON, GA- Jordan Ruby saved all 29 shots he faced in tonight's game, recording his second shutout in the last three games in the 4-0 win over the Mississippi RiverKings.

Stephen Pierog started out the scoring off of a great spinning pass from Matt Summers on the power play. About nine minutes later, Summers scored a goal of his own, poking in the rebound to make it 2-0.

In the second period, Daniel Gentzler had a shot glance off his back before he buried the rebound on the power play to make it 3-0 Mayhem. Nick Grasso picked up his second assist of the game on the goal.

The Mayhem scored their third power play goal of the game, as Mark Rivera danced around a defender and scored on a shot that went off the post and in to make it 4-0. The Mayhem defenders and Jordan Ruby would hold on in the final minutes to preserve the shutout, giving the Mayhem the 4-0 win.

NOTABLE STATS

With the win, the Mayhem are now 28-8-5 on the season, including a 12-4-3 record at the Macon Coliseum. They are 4-1-0 against Mississippi on the season, with the final meeting being played tomorrow.

Jordan Ruby recorded his second shutout of the season and his second in the last three games. He is now 17-4-3 on the season.

Three Mayhem players recorded multi-point games - Nick Grasso (two assists), Matt Summers (goal and an assist), and Daniel Gentzler (goal and an assist).
