Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs News Release
PEORIA, IL - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs have announced a series of transactions in advance of the weekend's games against the Peoria Rivermen. Forward Mike Driscoll has been returned from loan to the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers, defenseman Nick Schneider has been returned from bereavement leave, defenseman Mike Baker has been placed on waivers, forward Maxim Chegrintsev has been placed on waivers, goaltender Ryan de Melo has been placed on injured reserve and goaltender Joey Ballmer has been signed to a contract.
Driscoll returns to the Dawgs after spending eight games with Wheeling, during which he registered one assist. The Nailers were Driscoll's second ECHL team this season, as he had also played in three games with the Norfolk Admirals and netted a goal and an assist. In 26 games with Roanoke, he has five goals and four assists.
