
RubberDucks Raise $20,795 to Benefit Habitat for Humanity of Summit County

(Akron, Ohio) September 1, 2014 - The Akron RubberDucks announced today that the Habitat for Humanity of Summit County "Win at Home" 50/50 Raffle raised $20,795 benefiting Habitat for Humanity of Summit County throughout the 2014 season at Canal Park. It was the second year of the season-long partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County, and it surpassed last year's total of $20,107.
Habitat for Humanity of Summit County was the beneficiary of the nightly 50/50 raffle for all 68 openings at Canal Park this season. Fifty perfect of the revenue from raffle ticket sales during the games went to the winner of the raffle drawing while the other 50 percent was donated to Habitat for Humanity.
"We are proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity of Summit County. Over the past two seasons our fans at Canal Park have generously donated more than $40,000 to help those less fortunate in our community," said RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander. "Rochelle Fisher and her staff work tirelessly all year helping others, and we are honored to support them in any way possible."
