Real Salt Lake News Release
SANDY, Utah (Wednesday, June 27, 2012) - Real Salt Lake announced today that the club has acquired DF Kwame Watson-Siriboe from the Chicago Fire in exchange for RSL's 4th round natural selection in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.
The Chino Hills, Calif., product was selected 26th overall by the Fire out of the University of Connecticut back in the second round of the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, appearing in 10 matches (starting seven) as a rookie campaign, playing a total of 681 minutes. Last season, Watson-Siriboe spent the 2011 campaign on a season-long loan to FC Tampa Bay (NASL), where he appeared in 10 matches.
Throughout the 2012 MLS season, the 6'3" / 196 lb. back has not featured for Chicago in a first team match.

Weight: 196 lbs.
Born: November 13, 1986

The Claret-and-Cobalt - which dropped back-to-back home MLS matches last week for the first time since October, 2007 - travel to Ohio with an overall 4-2-2 road mark in MLS play this season, just five points shy of the club-record 19 points accumulated away from home in both the 2010 and 2011 seasons. RSL GK Nick Rimando and the RSL defense have not allowed a road goal in 315 minutes during its current four-game road unbeaten streak, both marks the second-longest in club annals (344-minutes in Aug./Sept., 2010; 9 games unbeaten on road from Aug. '10-April '11).
Despite the disappointing one-goal losses Wednesday to Los Angeles and Saturday to San Jose - which leapfrogged RSL to move one point ahead in the Western Conference standings, RSL's current 10-5-2 mark / 32 points mark the franchise's best-ever record and point accumulation through 17 games.

A limited number of tickets remain for RSL's next home game against Western Conference rival Seattle Sounders FC on Wednesday, July 4 - with an 8:00 p.m. MT kickoff due in part to the post-game Independence Day Fireworks show. On Saturday, July 7, RSL welcomes yet another West opponent, Portland Timbers FC, to Rio Tinto Stadium, with kickoff returning to its normal 7:00 p.m. start time.
