
Royce Lewis Named Prospect of the Year

Cedar Rapids, IA - Richard A. Nussbaum II, President of the Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, has announced the 2018 Post Season All-Star Roster. The team was selected by the Field Managers of the sixteen Midwest League member clubs.
Royce Lewis was selected to the Post Season All-Star Roster at shortstop while Alex Kirilloff was selected to the outfield. Lewis was also named the MWL Prospect of the Year. Third baseman Elehuris Montero of Peoria was named the MWL Most Valuable Player and Bowling Green manager Craig Albernaz was named MWL Manager of the Year.
Bowling Green had three players on the squad to lead the league. A full listing of the team is below:

Third Base - Elehuris Montero (Peoria)

RH Reliever - John Ghyzel (Dayton)
LH Reliever - Travis Radke (Fort Wayne)
The Kernels wrap up a five-game home stand tonight against the Peoria Chiefs. The first 1,000 fans through the gates receive a FREE Kernels Blackout Cap, courtesy Electronic Engineering. It's also the Twins Tuesday Jersey Auction, sponsored by Great Clips, and a Kernels Friday Mug Club with FIREWORKS after the game. Gates open at 5:30 PM with first pitch set for 6:35 PM.
