Royals, Zephyrs Rained Out Monday

Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals game vs. the New Orleans Zephyrs, scheduled for 11:05 a.m. Monday at Rosenblatt Stadium, has been postponed due to rain. The postponed game will be made up the next time New Orleans visits Omaha, as part of a doubleheader on Sunday, July 25 at 12:05 p.m.

Two of the four games scheduled in the series weren't played. Friday's scheduled series opener had to be postponed when the Zephyrs faced flight delays in Chicago that prevented some members of the team from arriving in Omaha until 10:00 p.m. that night. That game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, July 24, starting at 5:30 p.m., meaning the two teams will play twinbills on back-to-back days.

Omaha (14-15) finished the homestand with a 2-4 record. The Royals travel to Nevada for an eight-game road trip, making their first visit to Aces Ballpark in the opener of a four-game series Tuesday at 8:05 p.m., Central time. The Royals will also play a four-game set at Las Vegas before returning to Rosenblatt Stadium on Thursday, May 20 to open a 12-game homestand with a 6:35 p.m. game vs. the Salt Lake Bees.
