
Royals Win Third Straight 3-1 against Braves

Burlington, N.C. - The Royals picked up their third straight win on Sunday in a 3-1 road victory over the Danville Braves.
Leading off the top of the second inning, Logan Porter hit a solo home run over the right-center field wall at Legion Field to put Burlington in front 1-0. Later in the inning, Maikel Garcia smacked a double that scored David Hollie to extend the lead to 2-0.
The Royals scored their third and final run at the start of the fourth inning when Hollie hit a solo shot to left-center. The Braves got one run in the bottom of the seventh on a Brandon Parker single that plated Cody Milligan.
Dante Biasi earned the win for Burlington with 2.2 innings of relief in which he allowed one run on three hits while striking out five. Danville starter Alger Hodgson took the loss after allowing two runs in two innings of work. Royals reliever Zack Phillips set down the final two Braves batters to pick up the save.
Burlington is in Danville again on Monday to wrap up a two-game trip in Virginia. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
