Goals Galore - With four goals today, Victoria has now scored 284 times this season, which sets the new franchise record for most goals recorded in a season. The previous best was set by the club in the 2015-16 season when they registered 281 goals.
Sensational Soy - Royals' veteran Tyler Soy, who registered two assists, skated in his 321st career WHL contest tonight to set the new franchise record for most career games played. Former captain Ryan Gagnon held the previous record when he played in 320 contests for Victoria from 2012-2017.
Record Watch - With his 35th victory of the season, Royals' netminder Griffen Outhouse became the single-season franchise leader for most wins in a campaign. The previous mark was set by Outhouse when he recorded 34 victories last season.
BC Division Wrap-Up - Today's game versus the Cougars marked the club's final regular season contest against the BC Division. This season, the Royals compiled a record of 22-10-1-1 against divisional opponents. This includes a mark of 5-2-1-0 against Prince George.
Mr. 200 - Royals' forward Lane Zablocki took part in his 200th career WHL contest today. In 200 career contests split between Victoria, Regina Pats, Red Deer Rebels and Lethbridge Hurricanes, Zablocki has registered 122 points (58g-64a) to go along with 292 penalty minutes.
Gone Streaking - A pair of skaters extended their point streaks in today's victory against the Cougars. Matthew Phillips has registered 11 points (3g-8a) over six consecutive games, while Tyler Soy has 11 points (4g-7a) in five straight contests.
Up Next - Victoria will travel to Everett to take on the Silvertips on Friday, March 16th for the last road game of the regular season with puck drop set for 7:35 p.m.
