
Royals Release Forward Andrew Favot

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that the team has released forward Andrew Favot from his ECHL contract. Favot registered four points (1g-3a) and four penalty minutes in seven games with the Royals. In separate transactions previously completed, the Royals (i) activated forward Casey Haines from the 3-Day Injured Reserve; (ii) transferred forward John Scrymgeour from the 7-Day Injured Reserve to the 21-Day IR; (iii) placed Olivier Labelle on the 3-Day Injured Reserve; and (iv) placed forward Everett Sheen on the 7-Day Injured Reserve.
The Royals return to action on Friday (January 6, 2012 @ 8:30 pm eastern time) in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, where the team will take on the Chicago Express. The game night broadcast next Friday will start at 8:00 pm (et) with the Red Robin Gourmet Burger Pre-Game Warm-up Show on ESPN Radio 1240 am in Reading. Streaming audio is available free of charge courtesy of America One through the Royals' website, www.royalshockey.com. As with all Royals' road games this year, Saturday's game in Wheeling will be televised locally in Berks County, Pennsylvania on BCTV courtesy of Boscov's Travel and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
