
Colorado's Costello Is AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

PRINCETON, N.J. - Colorado Eagles forward Chad Costello is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +19.
Costello was even or better in 11 of his 12 games during the month, and tied the ECHL season high with a +5 on Dec. 17 against Utah. Three times during the month - Dec. 7 and 9 at Idaho and Dec. 23 against Utah - Costello was a +3. He was named ECHL Player of the Week for the week ending Dec. 11 after scoring three goals, adding two assists and posting a +7 in three games.
The 25-year-old, who is currently loaned to Springfield of the American Hockey League, leads the ECHL this season with a +19, and also leads the league with 48 points and 32 assists and is third with 133 shots on goal.
Costello began his professional career in the ECHL, appearing in two games with Texas during the 2007-08 season. He spent one season in the IHL, recording 46 points (17g-29a) in 65 games with Muskegon, and spent two seasons in the CHL with Corpus Christi and Tulsa, recording 139 points (47g-92a) in 111 games. He also has appeared in 10 AHL games with Springfield and Lake Erie, tallying one assist.
In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Chad Costello with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Eagles' home game.
