Royals Hope Fan Finds "Pot O' Gold" On "St. Hat Trick's Day"

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL encourage all fans to participate in the third annual "St. Hat Trick's Day" promotion presented by the Reading Eagle, under which a lucky fan could win $1,000,000.00 at the Royals' game against the Toledo Walleye on Saturday, March 13, 2010 (7:05 pm). Fans can enter the "St. Hat Trick's Day" promotion by filling out and submitting the entry form that has been available in the sports section of the Reading Eagle over the last several days and will run for the last time tomorrow, Sunday, March 7. To be eligible, entry forms must be post-marked by Monday, March 8.

Sixteen fans will be chosen at random from the entry forms received. Those sixteen fans will each receive two complimentary tickets to the Royals' game against the Walleye on March 13, 2010. Upon arrival at the game, each 'winner' will be randomly assigned to one Royals' skater who will be playing 'for them' in that night's game. Each 'winning' fan will also receive a replica Royals' jersey signed by their designated player. The first fan whose assigned player scores three goals-i.e., registers a hat trick-in the game against the Walleye on Saturday, March 13, 2010, will receive a $10,000 prize; the second fan whose assigned player scores three goals in that game will receive a $100,000.00 prize; and the third fan whose assigned player scores three goals in that game will receive a $1,000,000.00 prize. There can only be one winner of monetary each prize.

Also that night, the first 2000 fans in attendance will receive a St. Patrick's Day Lucky Hat courtesy of Quadrant Engineering Plastic Products and Lasting Image. During the game itself, the Royals will be wearing special St. Hat Trick's Day/Berks JazzFest jerseys, which will be auctioned off after the game with net proceeds going to benefit the Berks Arts Council.

The Royals return to the Sovereign Center on Thursday night (March 4, 2010 @ 7:05) when the Kalamazoo Wings return to Reading. Promotions at Thursday's game include: 'Thirsty Thursday' ($2.00 select beer), 'WAWA Weekday' (special $5.00 off ticket coupons available at WAWA), and a Dollar Menu Night (Hot Dogs, Nachos, Popcorn, and Soda just $1.00). The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will begin at 6:35 pm.
