Omaha Storm Chasers News Release


TONIGHT: The Royals visit Albuquerque for game 3 of a 4-game series. This series at Isotopes Park will be followed by a four-game set at Round Rock next Monday through Thursday. Omaha's home opener will be Friday, April 13th at 7:05 p.m., when the Royals host Albuquerque at Rosenblatt Stadium. Air-time tonight is 7:45 p.m. at www.Oroyals.com. The game will also be tape-delayed and aired on News Talk 1420 KOTK following the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights hockey game.

LAST NIGHT: KC prospect Billy Butler had 2 RBI, but former Husker Todd Sears' home run in the 6th inning broke a 2-2 tie and Albuquerque's bullpen blanked the Royals over 4.1 innings as the Isotopes won 3-2. Butler's RBI force out in the 1st inning gave Omaha an early lead. With the Royals trailing 2-1 in the 5th, Butler tied the contest with an RBI single. But, Sears led off the home 6th with a home run to left-center off Matt Wright (0-1), who had also yielded a homer to Chad Hermansen leading off the bottom of the 4th, which broke a 1-1 tie. ‘Topes reliever Ben Julianel (1-0) got the win in his Triple-A debut, giving up 1 hit and striking out 2 batters in 1.1 scoreless innings. Roy Cocoran provided 2.0 hitless innings of relief and former Royal Nate Field hurled a perfect 9th for his 1st save
