Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals game vs. the Tacoma Rainiers, scheduled for 7:05 p.m. tonight at Rosenblatt Stadium, has been postponed due to rain. The two teams will make up the postponed game by playing a doubleheader on Sunday, with the first pitch of the opener still set for 1:35 p.m.
Tonight's main promotion - a Mike Sweeney statue giveaway - has been rescheduled for Saturday, June 7, when the Royals host the Iowa Cubs at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,500 fans through the stadium gates that night will receive the individually hand-numbered statue of Sweeney, courtesy of Bellevue University, 1620 The Zone, WOWT and The Reader! The June 7 game should be a memorable evening, as it will also feature the popular ZOOperstars! performing throughout the contest, presented by PayPal.
For Mother's Day tomorrow, as they enter Rosenblatt all moms will be invited to register for several prize drawings, with two lucky mothers winning a trip to Kansas City's Great Wolf Lodge. It's also Honor Roll Day: area middle school and high school students who made their school's honor roll earned a free ticket to Sunday's game, courtesy of Nebraska Wesleyan University!
As is the case with all Sunday home games, tomorrow is U.S. Bank Family FUNday, when all kids are invited to run the bases after the game. For this Sunday, their moms will be invited to run along side them, also presented by KGBI-100.7 FM and KPTM-Fox 42. And, like every Sunday home contest, all Royals Kids Club members receive a free ticket to the game, courtesy of SUBWAY!
For tickets, call the Royals ticket office at (402) 738-5100, or order and print tickets online at www.oroyals.com and at www.Etix.com.
