
Infielder Tom King Transferred To Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Beavers announced today that infielder Tom King has been transferred to the team from Class A Lake Elsinore.
King, 23, was batting .158 (12-for-76) with two doubles, five walks, four RBIs and eight runs scored in 19 games with the Storm to start the season. An eighth-round draft choice of the San Diego Padres in 2006, King spent the majority of the 2007 campaign with Class A Fort Wayne but appeared in three games with the Beavers to close out the season, going hitless in five at-bats.
The Beavers' active roster is now at its 24-man limit.
