Royals Acquire Tyler Lees from Blades

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce that the club has acquired forward Tyler Lees (2000) from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for a conditional seventh round draft choice in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Regina, SK native has played 39 games in parts of two seasons in Saskatoon. He has registered four points (3g-1a) to go along with 22 minutes in penalties. Lees was drafted by the Blades in the fifth round (#94 overall) in the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

The 5-11, 167 lb forward spent the majority of 2016-17 season with the Regina Pat Canadians where he averaged a point a game (13g+29=42 points) during the regular season. He tallied 12 points (6g-6a) in 11 playoff games helping lead his team to the SMAAAHL Championship. At the Telus Cup, Lees notched two goals and three assists over his team's seven games.
