Fantillo Announces Retirement

Saskatoon, SK - 20-year-old forward, Caleb Fantillo, announced his retirement from junior hockey on Wednesday evening via Twitter.

Fantillo (1998) spent most of the last two season with the Saskatoon Blades after being acquired from the Medicine Hat Tigers in October 2016. During his time with the Blades, Fantillo suited up for 88 games scoring 12 goals, 19 points, and adding 88 penalty minutes.

In his first season in Saskatoon, Caleb was voted as the Fan's Choice Player of the Year. The following season, Fantillo kept up his relationship with the fans and community as one of the team leaders in community and charity events. His efforts resulted in him splitting the annual Community Minded Team Award for the 2017-18 season with captain, Evan Fiala.

Fantillo finishes his junior hockey career with a total of 159 games played, 35 points, and 142 penalty minutes split between the Saskatoon Blades and Medicine Hat Tigers.

Caleb plans to get a jump start on a future career in the health & fitness industry. The Saskatoon Blades would like to thank Caleb for his contributions to our organization both at the rink, on the ice, and in the community, while wishing him all the best in his future endeavours.
