
Royals Acquire Draft Picks in Trade with ICE

Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals today announced that the club has acquired a sixth round draft pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam, along with a conditional selection in 2022 from the Kootenay ICE. In exchange the Royals have sent the rights to 2002-born unsigned forward Carter Loney and a seventh round draft pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft to Kootenay.
Loney, a product of Winnipeg, MB, was selected by the Royals in the 10th round, 202nd overall, in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft. He is committed to the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
