ICE Acquire the Rights to '02-Born Forward Carter Loney

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced on Saturday it has acquired the rights to '02-born forward Carter Loney and a 2019 seventh round draft pick from the Victoria Royals. In return, the Royals receive a 2019 sixth round draft pick and a conditional fourth round draft pick in 2022.

The Royals selected Loney in the 10th round of the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

This season, Loney, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, has seven goals and 16 assists for 23 points in 20 games with RHA Prep of the CSSHL. Loney has also played in six games with the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, collecting one goal and four points.
